Sitges is a beautiful city, only 30 minutes by train away from Barcelona. If you want to go to Sitges, you can take the train at station Sants. While sitting in the train to Sitges, you can enjoy a great view at the sea.
Sitges is situated in the Costa Brava and has a 4 kilometre long coastline with over 20 different beaches. It is a popular place for sun, sea and beach tourists, especially for gay people. In Sitges, there is a boulevard with palm trees, which separates the hotels and cafes from the beach. At the end of the boulevard, there is a yellow little church.
Sitges is well known for its Carnival, which is held from the end of February till the beginning of March. Furthermore there is the natural park of Garraf, which is over 10,000 hectares. This park is very beautiful.
There are several interesting museums in Sitges. The museum Cau Ferras houses an art collection with paintings of Picasso and other famous painters. The museum Maricel has an important art collection with mostly medieval art pieces. But there are also Romanesc and Modernism paintings.
