Assignment 4 Impression and contrast

This will be my last assignment. My time here in Barcelona is almost finished. Just 15 days and then I am going back home. I had some expectations before I came to Barcelona. That´s normal I think and because I never visit Spain before maybe more then others. I saw a lot on tv and heard some things from friends. My expectation were.....
-much sun and a warm climate
-big city without much green places, a lot of smog, no quiet places and many people
-I could do every day something else. Visit a museum, an other city, a parc, go to the beach etc. Because this city never sleeps.
-I am going to learn the language better while I am here.
-Three months are over before I know it.

Did my expectations came out.......
The first one sun and a warm climate. YES, do you know how cold it is in Holland. I think about 2 degrees and it rains a lot. That I really don´t miss about Holland. I think if we had this climate I would jump in the air, but I miss the snow in Holland. But you can go to Pyreneeen here if you want snow.

The second thing was the big city. In the beginning I really loved it. All the new things to see and do. But after almost two and a half months I already have seen a lot of the city. Now I get really iritated about that their are so many people here, you can´t find a lot of quiet places here and the air is really bad for you because of a the smog the city. So about this point I really enjoy to go home again. I miss the forest near my house, the quietness at street at night and the clean air.

The third point is that you can do everything you want. Visit things during the day and go out at night. I really enjoyed that and I still do those things. That I am really going to miss in Holland. But what you don´t have here are your friends and family and sometimes it´s more nicer to do things together with your friends.

The fourththing was that I am going to learn the language better while I am here. I wish it was true. Because it´s difficult to learn at our house I didn´t do so much aboit learning spanish. I regred that a lot. I am thinking of following a course in holland. I know now some basics but not really more before I left Holland.

The last thing is that three months are over before I know it. That´s really true. But I experienced the three months more then at home. You are more aware of what you are doing here, because you want this to be a stay to remember as long as you live. And I will do that because until know I really enjoyed everything and I want also to thank everybody for make my stay here so good!!!!
