Assingment about differences between Catalan and Spanish people

I talk with two girls in my Customer Service class about these differences.
They said, that Caltalan people are more shy, closed and not so warm people than rest of Spanish people. In the South the people are more open-minded.
Also the religious is in the South is more important and holy thing to their life.
Here the religious is more important for eldery people. For example Eastern is more important celebrate for Spanish people than for Catalan people. Nowadays it´s coming to be more important celebration also here.
In the South people are more traditional than in rest of Spain.

I talk also with one of my teacher with these differences and she said, that when the people get married, Catalan people are more seperated with different kind of things. In different ways than in rest of Spain, they share more their life and future with their wife of husband.
With celebrate Christmas there are differences too. Spanish people usually eat turkey at the Christams and the day for celebrating is 24th of December. Catalan people normally eat somekind of soup at Chritmas (can´t remember the name of it...) and celebrate it till Boxing day eating Canellonies, when rest of Spanish people are normally already at work. Also Three Wise Men day at 6th of January (5th of January is preparing day) are important day for Catalan people differently than for rest of Spanish.
You can see the differences also between Catalan and Spanish people about way to dress. When Catalan dress pretty simple way, the Spanish people dress really smart anc elegant way for example to dinner and whrn going out.
Catalan and Spanish people have different traditional dances and national days.
Also they keep their wedding ring in different hands; Catalan in the left hand side and rest of Spanish in the right hand side.
Teacher said also differences between the culture; her opinion was, that Catalan people are more open-minded because they have always been open to the Europe, travelled more and been more in connection with different cultures and countries.
