Catalan Culture 2004 Class Blog

lunes, noviembre 03, 2003

I don´t no if anyone else has written about Le Merce but there was so much going on we are bound to have seen different things. First the atmosphere, there were so many things happening, people everywhere, all hours of the day the rambla was buzzing. You feel part of a big celebration. It remeinds me of when i was younger and we went to a St Patricks day celebration and everyone is so happy. Secondly, the things that i saw i thought the castells were really good and again everyone is envolved. The fireworks on the beach lasted ages and were good but especially for me if was a novelty to watch fireworks from the beach. The gaints that paraded down the rambla i felt like a little kid again watching a carnival. The Bam concert at estacion Frances i´m not really into electronic music but it was a experience and thats what this is about. And of course the dancing fountains there were so many people and the atmosphere was so relaxed and everyone wanted to watch the fountains and have a good time. The only thing i have missed was the Correfoc. Therefore i will be returning next year for the festival.
