Assignment 2/Milka Latipää, Finland

Woman, 25, thinks that there is lots of differences between Catalunya and rest of the Spain. What she thinks is different are example language, culture and people. She also mentioned that people from different parts of Spain are different, not only people from Catalunya. She can see the difference between her mothers and her fathers families. Her mothers family are not from Catalunya. When they go visit to her mothers family in christmas, people are singing, dringing etc. Her farhers family is more serious. She said, that people in Catalunya are serious, good workers and good to save money.

Man, 21, don´t want to make difference between people in anyway.

Woman, 27, said that everyone has identitet whitch we grow to. She feels more close with people who has same language and culture. Being spanish doesn´t mean much to her but being from Catalunya means home. She also mentioned that she likes some characteristics from other parts of Spain, like people from Andalucia are more open, happyer etc. Catalan people are more serious.

What I think is that people in Catalunya seems to be very proud of they roots. They don´t want to be from Spain, they are from Catalunya! I can´t actually see the differnce between people from Catalunya or people from rest of Spain because I haven´t visit other parts of Spain. But I have to say, that I think in same way with that man I interviewed. Culture, habits etc. can be different but in the end, are people really that different? I don´t think so.
