Assignment 2:

What makes catalunia differnt from the rest of Spain? I asked this to a few people and here are their view about it. The first guy I asked was a construction worker in my buildning.
His first thoughts where the language. He said that he speaks mostly catalan in daily life to his family , collegues friends. However he said it was necesairly to speak a lot of castellano as well since there are a lot of people in Barca who’s not from here. But that is definitely something that makes us different from the rest of spain. After that, he mentioned the food, and especially something he called eschcetas (I don’t know the spelling on that one). He tried to explain what kind of food it was, but this happen to fast for my spanish level.
After that he had to think for a while before he came up with anything more, then he said the dance sardanes, however he had never danced it he said.

The second person I asked was a my conseguir, the maintaince and elevator guy at my appartment bulidning. He is a catalana man in the late 50´s and have lived in catalunya all his life. He as well said the language was very important. Thus during the franco area they weren´t allowed to speak it. Altough he had strong opinions about catalunya beeing differnt. He said here people work much more and got a different attitude to life. He said that catalunya was maybe the richest part of Spain, and he ment that catalunya was in front on the rest of the country when it came to industy, tourisme etc. He mentioned his lazy brother in law from Andalucia and laughed.

The last person to ask I figured should be a person at my own age, so I asked one of the guys i played football with. He didn´t really have many thoughts about the issue. Altough he aswell mention the language. He told me he had lived several years in madrid as well, and he actually liked quite well, so he didn´t have as strong opinions as the conseguir in my buildning.
