CASA BATLLO
Hello everybody...
Ok, to try too be a bit cultural, I wan´t to tell you about my favorite building. (I actually going to buy this house, to live in next year.)
Is one of Antoni Gaudi´s masterpieces her in Barcelona. The house is amazing, like a fantasi world.
The roof on the building reminds me of the backbone of a gigantic dinosaur. A facade extends between the two, including a number of small, elegantly curved balconies that seem to stick to the front of the house like scellet heads. The facade itself glitters in numerous colours, and small round plates that look like fish scales are let into it.
There are no edges or corners here; even the walls are rounded in undulations and have in essence the feel of the smooth skin of a sea serpent about them. The building was built between 1904- 06, and are designed so smart, with every detalj, tho take adwantige of the natural light.
Even my littel brother (hate sightsing and cultural things) realy like this, so it´s worth a visit. Inside it´s to crowded in the tourist season. But I would recomend to go, you will get this "phone thing" you can listen too (info, backgrounds ect.), as a personal guide. With a student card you get a discount.
